The most important occurrence in a Slavic home is the bridal meeting, which is often celebrated in spring, summer or autumn. It was a time for celebration and happiness, as it marked the beginning of the new living. Troops married after successful promotions, sailors held their ceremonies after a good catch and shepherds tied the knot after the calf period.

After the ceremony the newlyweds walk through the streets of the village, with folks throwing grains of corn, chocolates and coins for happiness and prosperity. They even quit at nearby memorials and give gift. The wedding ceremony is supervised by a master of ceremonies called a” Tamada”. He is a boisterous buddy who runs the various competitions.

When the wedding leaves her parents ‘ home, she takes with her a shawl that she should keep, not to give away or letting somebody touch. The couple’s cousins tested the wedding by asking her questions and requesting liquid from her. If they placed income on a holder, the wife would grant them water or answers their queries.
